School Records
The Bradford County Historical Society has many school records from the late 1800’s and
early 1900's. Each school kept records of students. A typical record would consist of:
Name of student
Age of student
Attendance
Progress
Conduct
Books used
Teacher
The most extensive collection includes Sheshequin Township. Marwill Gillette of Towanda donated 48 bound volumes whose father had found them in the Middle Valley School before it was torn down.
