Marriage records in Bradford County on an official county-wide basis begin in October 1885. Before that time marriages can be found in newspapers, bibles, church records, and other sources. The Bradford County Historical Society has the County Marriage Books of 1 through 16, which ends with marriages in Feb 1907. Later marriages are found at the County Courthouse. They are indexed. Marriages contain important information about two people, including the date of marriage, place of marriage, ages, occupations, often the names of parents, and other information important to genealogical research.
