Fazekas Negative Collection

October 14, 1955 – January 30, 1971

Around 1999 and 2000, the Bradford County Historical Society received a large number of black & white and color negatives. Local photographer, Eugene A. Fazekas, located at 426 Main Street, Towanda, Pennsylvania, photographed children, family groups, high school seniors for yearbooks, school events, automobile accidents, weddings, and the reproduction of negatives from older photos. Sometime around 1956, the Frost Studio of Towanda, having changed management, changed its name to the Fazekas Studio. In 2005, the Bradford County Historical Society undertook the task to re-sleeve and label each negative to create this index. When searching for surnames, be aware that some negatives are no longer available. Each box indicates what numbers are missing from that box on the outside label. The missing numbers are indicated for the purpose of maintaining the original data.

Susan M. Miller prepared and completed this extensive collection for our members and visitors.
